Which AFC Teams Can Realistically Beat the Chiefs

Tennessee Titans

Not a lot of teams can beat the Chiefs, but there is a way to do it. That way is by keeping Patrick Mahomes on the sideline and limiting the deep ball. Similar to Thanos, Mahomes is inevitable. He will make plays, no matter if the Chiefs are down by 20 or trying to run the ball out. Mahomes is built DIFFERENTLY! With that being said, the last person the Chiefs defense wants to go against in the playoffs is number 22 for the Tennessee Titans. When Derrick Henry gets rolling, there is no stopping him. Henry has a real chance to surpass 2,000 rushing yards this season and is a candidate for the MVP award. Ryan Tannehill is playing lights out this season and doesn't put the ball into harms way. He has just five interceptions on the year and his receivers are on a tear right now. Corey Davis is finally playing like a WR1 and AJ Brown is continuing to have an all-pro caliber season. The Titans coach, Mike Vrabel, is outstanding and will put the Titans in a position to win every week. In order for the Titans to win this game, they need to be patient with the run game and play turnover free football.

Buffalo Bills

While the Chiefs knocked off the Bills earlier in the season, this is a much different Bills team. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are both playing like they are the best at their position and are on a four game winning streak. While no team is better than the Chiefs, any team can get hot. If Josh Allen is playing at the same level as he is right now, but in January, the Bills are a scary sight. Allen's accuracy seems to improve every week and he isn't making those bone headed decisions any more. He has continued to run the football but hasn't taken any monster hits lately. The Bills defense is finally getting healthy and Tre'Davious White is one player who can stick Tyreek Hill one on one. If the Bills are running with some steam, they can definitely shock the world and upset the Chiefs.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts always play the Chiefs tough. Last year they knocked them off on Sunday Night Football and in the past decade there have been a ton of amazing Chiefs Colts playoff matchups. The Colts have a fierce defense with a linebacker who will be able to prevent Travis Kelce from ripping them apart. Deforest Buckner, Denico Autry, and Justin Houston have been getting to the quarterback all season long. While Julian Blackmon and Kenny Moore will make it tough for Tyreek Hill or who ever is in the slot to make a play downfield. Offensively, Jonathan Taylor has finally found his footing. Taylor has had three straight games with at least 80 rushing yards and a touchdown and Nyheim Hines is still a threat as a receiver coming out of the backfield. By utilizing their running backs, the Colts will keep Mahomes on the sideline and will stress out the Chiefs defense. If there is one team that can give the Chiefs problems, it will be the Indianapolis Colts.
