Week 2 Fantasy Starts of the Week
Emmanuel Sanders WR Saints
With Michael Thomas going down, Emmanuel Sanders has an amazing opportunity to shine in week 2. He's going against an extremely young Raiders defense who gave up 114 yards and a touchdown to Robby Anderson. Emmanuel Sanders is an amazing route runner who knows how to get separation. He was able to catch a touchdown week one and in week two he'll have more plays where he is the first read. Drew Brees is a killer on Monday Night Football and his connection with Emmanuel Sanders will win some people games in week 2. Emmanuel Sanders is one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL and is a solid WR 2 in week 2.
Projection: 7 catches 105 yards 1 touchdown
Dak Prescott QB Cowboys
Last week, the Falcons pass defense looked really bad. I mean, really really bad. Dak Prescott was my pick for Offensive Player of the Year before the season started and I think this will be a breakout game early in the season. It's the first game back in Jerry World and this should be the game where CeeDee Lamb introduces himself to the NFL. This should be the game where we see first round pick CeeDee Lamb who is a monster after the catch. I'm not sure if this game will be a shootout, but I know it will be high scoring. Dak Prescott is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and I see him being a top scoring quarterback in fantasy football in week 2.
Projection: 350 yards 3 passing touchdowns 1 rushing touchdown
Todd Gurley RB Falcons
One of my big takeaways from week one was how fresh Todd Gurley looked. By the second half, the Falcons were down pretty bad to the Seahawks. In the first half Gurley looked awesome. He was an added element to Atlanta's offense and showed signs of who he was in 2017 and 2018. This week he's playing against the Cowboys who just gave up a career day to Malcolm Brown. I could see Todd Gurley having a two touchdown game and topping 100 yards. Todd Gurley is everything the Falcons wanted him to be and should have an amazing week 2.
Projection: 100 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 30 receiving yards, 1 rec. td.
Raheem Mostert RB 49ers
Raheem Mostert should already be in your lineups, but he is going to have a huge game against the Jets. The 49ers are going to be playing this week with a chip on their shoulder. They were upset by the Cardinals and they've been disrespected all week because of it. I think the 49ers will absolutely dominate the Jets this week. Once they get up on New York, I expect Shanahan to run the s**t out of the ball and get back to his ways. All of the 49ers receivers are banged up so they should be running the ball any ways. Mostert looked awesome vs the Cardinals and should look awesome vs the Jets.
Projection: 130 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns
