Players Who Will Outperform Where They're Drafted

Courtland Sutton WR Broncos

After this year, Courtland Sutton will be looked at as a WR1 in Fantasy Football. Now he has the perfect compliments with Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler. Courtland Sutton has the potential to be one of the most dominant receivers in the NFL. He has Calvin Johnson type of potential. The combination of size and ball skills are what make him so deadly, and with Drew Lock throwing him the rock; I believe Sutton will have 1,200 yards and 10+ touchdowns. He isn't going to get doubled and the Broncos have a ton of weapons on offense. The Broncos are going to have one of the best running games in the league next season, so defenses won't be able to just rush four. The Broncos are my sleeper team this year and I believe Sutton is going to dominate this year.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB Chiefs

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is in a position where he could be the best receiving back of all time. I know it's extremely early, and he hasn't played a single snap, but he is going to be Patrick Mahomes' check down guy for the next 8+ years. I remember when I was writing his draft report, I kept thinking to myself that this guy seems like a person who'll be a killer in the league for double digit years. He is the perfect fit in Andy Reid's system, and I think Brian Westbrook is a very fair comparison. Not to mention, no teams will ever be able to load the box. Clyde is going to be able to run freely and I see him just completely dialing up touchdowns this year. Clyde the glide will be an RB2 in fantasy football this season.

David Montgomery RB Bears

The Bears right now have absolutely no hype, and that is making Montgomery fly completely under the radar. Montgomery isn't going to go until at least the 5th or 6th round in fantasy drafts. It doesn't get talked about very often, but the progression of a second year running back is huge. This is when the game begins to slow down and running backs learn how to set up blocks. Montgomery is going to see an increased role in the passing game and if Nick Foles is under center teams won't be stacking the box as often. I don't think Montgomery will be an RB1, but I see him being a solid RB2 that is going to get drafted a lot later than he should go. I believe we'll see at least 1,000 rushing yards out of Montgomery this season.

Brandon Aiyuk WR 49ers

Brandon Aiyuk being drafted to the 49ers was one of my favorite fits in the draft this year. He fits exactly what the 49ers want to do and Kyle Shanahan is a wizard at developing Wide Receivers. If Shanahan drafts a wide receiver early, he definitely has envisioned a role for him. Aiyuk is a killer after the catch and he knows how to gain separation. With him learning from Wes Welker and Miles Austin, the possibilities are endless for Aiyuk. Aiyuk is going to be catching a lot of screen passes and be used as a punt returner. Aiyuk is worth a late round flyer in your fantasy drafts!
