Antonio Gibson Draft Profile
Scouting Report
Antonio Gibson is one of the most lethal players in the draft. He doesn’t have a true position, but he can play both receiver and running back. He has extremely strong legs and is great both after the catch and at running through tackles. He has return ability and plays with a ton of swag. He is physical and will be used a lot on screen passes. The knocks on him would be that he doesn’t have that true position, but I don’t really mind that at all. He isn’t the most polished route runner and he struggles getting off the line in press coverage. He also didn’t have a game over 11 carries or 6 catches last season. He reminds me a lot of Ty Montgomery as that hybrid type of player. He has break away speed and is overall just a really good player. I have a fourth round grade on him because I can see him disappearing in some games. Gibson is an exciting player when he has the ball in his hands. He’s a day three steal.
Where He Should Get Drafted: Fourth Round
Where He Will Get Drafted: Rounds 3-5
Couldn't put him on the draft scale because we're not sure of his future position.
Team Fits: Packers, Titans, 49ers
Pro Comparison: Ty Montgomery
